Change the pattern. Change the outcome.

A structured psychoeducational program you can refer with confidence.

Recode-Me is a six-week alcohol, drug and behavioural change program developed by Donna Stambulich, registered clinical psychologist, with more than twenty years of clinical experience in addiction. It is evidence-based, clinically structured, and nationally available via telehealth.

The Family Court of Western Australia has included the Recode-Me Program when making Orders in cases where a parent was required to demonstrate behaviour change.

Recode-Me is now accepting referrals nationally.

Is your client ready for a program that will hold up?

You are a lawyer, Legal Aid coordinator, drug court case manager, GP, or psychiatrist. You need a program you can refer to with confidence, one that is clinically credible, structurally sound, and produces documentation that carries weight in professional and legal contexts.

Most AOD programs available for referral are generic, unverified, and produce certificates that are difficult to defend. Your clients deserve better than that, and so do you. Recode-Me was built for exactly this gap.

Recode-Me accepts referrals from legal and health professionals for clients requiring a structured, evidence-based psychoeducational program with formal clinical documentation on completion.

We deliver structured clinical content...

by sequencing five evidence-based modules across six time-locked weeks.

We ensure the work is done...

by using a non-bypassable sequential structure, one module per week, with no ability to skip ahead.

We support legal and professional contexts...

by producing documentation suitable for use in Family Court, drug court, and professional proceedings.

We document genuine engagement...

by issuing a Certificate of Completion signed by a registered clinical psychologist on clinical letterhead.

We provide nationally available access...

by delivering the program entirely online, with no geographic restriction.

With RECODE-ME

When your client completes Recode-Me, you have documentation that reflects genuine structured engagement with a clinically developed program, signed by a registered clinical psychologist who also functions as a Family Court Single Expert Witness. That is not available anywhere else in Australia.

Without RECODE-ME

Without a program of this standard, the certificates available to refer to carry limited evidential weight and can be completed overnight. That is a professional risk for you and a clinical risk for your client.

What the work looks like in practice.

*All identifying details have been changed or omitted.

She was functioning. She was also drowning.

A professional mother in her late 30s had tried every rule she could impose on herself. Nothing held.

Through the program, she identified the emotional load that alcohol was carrying, and built the tools to carry it differently.

She’s now more present with her children and more stable in her relationship than she’s been in years.

He thought it was just a one-off. It wasn't.

A senior professional in his early 40s came in following a drink driving charge. His focus was the incident.

The program moved focus to the pattern, the cognitive distortions, the high-risk environments, the professional identity that had become a reason not to look.

Sustained abstinence. Licence restored. A different relationship with what had happened.

He was fine at work. Off-roster, the wheels came off.

A FIFO worker in his mid-30s didn’t identify as someone with a problem. Life was structured on-site, but lacked structure off-site.

The program identified roster transitions as the highest-risk window and built a specific plan around them.

As a result, reduced use, re-engagement with family, and a framework that works when the roster doesn’t.

Program credentials

The program has been directed by name in Family Court of Western Australia proceedings, where a parent was required to demonstrate behaviour change as a condition of Orders.

Donna Stambulich is a registered clinical psychologist with more than twenty years of clinical experience in addiction. She functions as a Family Court Single Expert Witness, which is the only context in which a psychologist may be formally designated as an expert in proceedings. The Certificate of Completion is issued on her clinical letterhead and signed in that capacity.

The program is time-locked and non-bypassable. One module per week. Sequential access only. It is not possible to complete this program overnight. The certificate reflects that.

How it works

Recode-Me delivers a five-phase psychoeducational
framework across six weeks, built on more than two
decades of clinical work in addiction psychology.

The structure is non-negotiable and non-bypassable.
Phase 1 runs across two weeks, the remaining four
phases are delivered weekly. The sequence is clinically
determined.

We do not provide individual psychological therapy,
medical detox, crisis intervention, residential
rehabilitation, medication support, group therapy, or
court representation.

We provide one thing, a structured, clinically grounded
psychoeducational program with formal documentation
on completion.

Phase 1: Recognise (weeks 1-2)

Understand the pattern driving your behaviour for the first time.

Phase 2: Regulate

Stabilise your nervous system so change becomes possible.

Phase 3: Rewire

Replace destructive habits with new behavioural pathways.

Phase 4: Regain

Rebuild identity, relationships, and personal agency.

Phase 5: Recode

Lock in change with a structured 90-day reinforcement plan.

The clinician behind Recode-Me

Donna Stambulich is a registered clinical psychologist with more than twenty years of clinical experience in addiction.

She is the founder and developer of the Recode-Me framework and the Director of North Perth Psychology Centre in Perth, Western Australia.

Donna holds degrees in psychology and criminology. She is appointed as a Single Expert Witness in Family Court matters. As a Single Expert, Donna understands the standard of documentation, clinical rigour, and evidentiary quality that courts and legal professionals require. The Recode-Me program is built to meet it.

Donna’s work sits at the intersection of clinical knowledge and lived understanding of recovery. The Recode-Me framework was developed from this intersection, and from the recognition that many people caught in addiction are not failing from lack of motivation, but from the absence of a structured psychological framework for change.

Can clients self-refer, or must referrals come through a professional?

Clients can self-refer directly. A professional referral is not required for any program tier. If you are referring a client, please include relevant context about their legal or clinical situation so we can ensure they are directed to the most appropriate tier.

No. Recode-Me is a psychoeducational program. It is structured, evidence-based, and clinically developed, but it is not individual psychological therapy.
